Ferrosilicon (FeSi)

Ferrosilicon (FeSi) is used as an oxygen-generating agent in the oxidation of steel and other iron alloy.  By adding ferrosilicon to steel, it takes the oxygen in the metal and prevents its oxidation. This action increases the quality and strength of steel. Also, ferrosilicon is used as an oxygen-generating agent in casting to prevent oxidation of iron in the casting process and improve the quality of cast parts. Ferrosilicon can be used as an alloy in some materials, such as aluminum and copper. It can reduce the melting point of these materials and simplify production processes.

Below are a number of advantages of ferrosilicon in various industries:

Steel industry: Ferrosilicon is used as an important additive in steel production. These compounds include iron and silicon, and adding ferrosilicon to iron can improve the strength, hardness and mechanical properties of steel.

Aluminum industry: In the production of aluminum, ferrosilicon is used as an alloy material. Adding ferrosilicon to aluminum improves the casting ability, heat resistance and mechanical properties of aluminum.

Stainless Steel Industry: In the production of stainless steels, ferrosilicon is used as an essential ingredient in the manufacturing process. It reduces the amount of oxidation and formation of iron deposits in the steel, adding anti-rust properties to the steel.
